Surf Video: Freight Trains 2005 DVD $19.95

Labeled as the fastest wave in the world, "Freight Trains" was said to
be the biggest and best lined up in just under 10 years. Several surfers
and photographers flew in from Oahu to experience this very rare double and triple over-head day.
Dan caught it peaking in the morning hours from about 8:30 to 12:30, then cut it to a raw 30 minute timepiece that everyone should have in their library. There are sick classic deep barrels, a lot of carnage, and an excellent soundtrack.

| ---- Jaws, in Peahi on Maui's North Shore, is one of the largest ride-able waves in the world. It was in the opening scene of the James Bond movie "Die Another Day", and has been said to generate wave faces in excess of 80 feet high. This 20 minute DVD was shot both from a teeny tiny little blue helicopter that I want to throw up every time I get in, and from the shoreline cliff facing the wave. (You can feel it in your chest when it breaks) It's just awesome. |
